A walk at Assignan

Take a two hour circular walk and end the sight seeing with a glass of wine or coffee at La Petit Table in Assignan. It’s 25 mins from La Souqueto B&B.

There are so many walks in the Languedoc! Heres one that will take up to two hours. To reach the car park for the walk, take the road that leads out of Assignan towards Saint Chinian for a few hundred yards…look out for a shrine on the left, park just off the main track (see pics above). Tucked in the corner behind the shrine is an opening in the trees. The path does cross other tracks so just make sure you keep to the left side (see pic above).

On a good day the views from this walk are sublime! On one side you’ll see open countryside and hills towards Saint Chinian and the other a wonderful view of the Pyrenees. Look out for gaps in the hedgerow for the big views! A small road signifies the end of the walk. Turn left and within a few minutes you will be passing Castigno’s La Cave restaurant in Assignan. Enjoy
