‘Maison d’etes’, a restored 18th Century wine growers cottage is available for rent from April to October.  It is situated in the tiny, quiet, unspoiled wine growing hamlet of Babio, a few kilometres from the historic village of Minerve in the department of Herault.

Relax in the garden with swimming pool, summer kitchen and terraces.

Maison d’étés sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms (two doubles and two single beds). It has a kitchen/dining area with two sinks, Bosch oven, dishwasher and gas hob. The lounge/day room has a log burning fire. The garden, situated just across the placette, with its private swimming pool and summer kitchen looks out over the most stunning valley made up of vineyards and Olive groves.  

The village of La Caunette, a few minutes drive or cycle ride through vineyard lined country roads, has an award winning restaurant and village bar. Other local Villages of Minerve, Aigne and Aigues Vives have quality restaurants and food stores.

Stunning views and walks and cycle tracks everywhere.

Babio enjoys all the benefits of a peaceful, totally authentic, ancient French village yet within 50 minutes guests can easily reach the cities of Carcassonne, Beziers or Perpignan with their International airports or even the beaches on the Mediterranean.

Under an hour to the Beaches on the Mediterranean.

The wines of the Minervois are now becoming world renown. Babio sits among some of the most dynamic small family run domains in France. We would be delighted to suggest a number of outstanding local vineyards for wine tasting.

Our Rates:

April/Oct/ €800 per week.

Self catering two bedroom Apartment

In the heart of the Languedoc!

The La Souqueto self-catering Apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. It is situated on the top floor of the Town house in Mirepeisset and consists of a large, air-conditioned space with kitchen/dining, lounge area and shower room/toilet. Double doors lead out onto a terrace with views of the countryside. It has a dining table and sun loungers. It has 2 separate bedrooms (one double bed and two single beds).

Safe river swimming just behind La Souqueto!

The Apartment is situated in a thriving village with excellent local shop for croissants/baguettes, two restaurants, the River Cesse for safe swimming and a wonderful walk under an avenue of Plane trees to the Canal du Midi.

 Rates: (minimum of two night stays)

July/August €160 per night.

Spring/Autumn/Winter €120 per night. 

We are happy to rent the Apartment for discounted extended Winter lets.

Explore the Languedoc S W France and the Catalan Towns and Cities too!

La Souqueto is a restored five bedroom Town house in the middle of a small thriving village in the heart of the Languedoc, S W France. It is the perfect place to explore the Occitanie region of France which nestles between Provence and the Catalan region of Spain.

It has three main bedrooms (two doubles and a room with two single beds). The lounge/sun terrace room on the top floor has another two separate guest bedrooms. (Please scroll down for pics)

A short walk away to the Canal du Midi.

‘La Souqueto’ is a short walk from the stunning Canal du Midi along a closed track under an avenue of mature Plane trees. Cycle or walk along the canal visiting restaurants. Head up to the foothills of the mountain Noire to visit the historic villages of Minerve, Aigne or La Caunette. Narbonne, our local City is 20 mins away, Beziers 30 mins and Carcassonne just under an hour! The beaches on The Mediterranean are 40 mins away or why not head off to Girona, Cadeques or Barcelona for the day!

Mirepeisset has an épicerie in the Placette just a 10 second walk from the front door, selling croissants/baguettes, cheese, ham and fruit. A local Intermarche supermarket is 5 minutes away by car.

La Souqueto is available from October to April each year. It’s operated as an award winning B&B for the spring/summer months.

Price: €1960 per month. A minimum of one months stay.
