I rented Jon & Mel’s beautifully restored Wine growers house (Gite) for 10 weeks, and it was a wonderful and peaceful experience! It has been beautifully restored, has three bedrooms, wonderful bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Star link Wifi is great too!!
The tiny hamlet of Babio is situated in the foothills of the Mountain noire, near the historic village of Minerve. It has thirty residents and is surrounded by vineyards. Its family friendly with wonderful walks and cycle tracks out from the front door.
The garden is beautiful and the view is mesmerising – colours change constantly during the day. The swimming pool, large terrace and summer kitchen make this the perfect place for a family holiday. Highly recommended.

Spent 5 nights at La Souqueto in their Family Apartment. Fantastic accommodation, very versatile, high quality fixtures and fittings with a lovely roof terrace with outside dining table and sun loungers.
The other rooms are beautifully decorated and completely authentic and all in all a perfect place to stay. In fact we now hear that the entire house is available for rent from October through to April. We shall probably book a couple of months next year to celebrate my retirement!

This was our fourth trip to this stunning area and Jon and Mel continue to provide outstanding accommodation with the most comprehensive local knowledge available. They always direct us to places that we would have never found ourselves.
Whether you are new to this area, or think you know it well, Jon and Mel will ensure that you get the absolute most from your visit.
Our family were delighted with the stay at the self catering Apartment at La Souqueto, next year we have booked two weeks in their recently restored wine growers house in Babio, near La Caunette. So looking forward to it.

My wife and I experienced an amazing time with Mel & Jon. Our stay with them has been the best we have experienced. The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and introduced to their wonderfully restored French Town house.
Our room was beautifully furnished, the bed wonderfully comfortable and the shuttered windows opened to tree tops beyond the neighbouring roof tops.
Delicious breakfasts were served in the communal dining and living area. We had the pleasure of the company of other International travellers, each sharing their experiences and adventures.
Our week stay could have lasted a month. We shall return to see our newly made friends and to continue our Languedoc adventure.

This was our 5th stay at La Souqueto and there is a reason why we keep coming back…by now it feels like a second home! We look forward to our next stay, as much for Jon & Mel as the stunning Languedoc region!
We always sleep well at La Souqueto. It has comfortable rooms, bathrooms are bright and roomy with soft bath sheet size towels and a much appreciated full size hairdryer
So many things to do in the area from walks and ancient sites, to market villages, to bigger cities like Carcassonne, Narbonne and Beziers, and of course the Mediterranean.

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful B&B full of authentic French character, we were made to feel really welcome and at home.
Jon and Mel are wonderful hosts – recommending lovely local restaurants and sharing their considerable knowledge of the Languedoc.
Our room ‘Paraza’ was just beautiful and very quiet…a feeling of a suite with easy chairs and writing table. Our views were of countryside.
The village of Mirepeisset is lovely and peaceful with a well stocked village shop with local wines and cheese for sale. And the restaurant, less than twenty paces from the front door serves fantastic food.

Perfect week! Jon and Mel were perfect hosts for our week exploring this stunning region from the comfort of the beautiful Paraza room at La Souqueto. Very chilled and lots to explore, based on their extensive local knowledge. A week is not enough. We will return.
