La Souqueto is a restored five bedroom Town house in the middle of a small thriving village in the heart of the Languedoc, S W France. It is the perfect place to explore the Occitanie region of France which nestles between Provence and the Catalan region of Spain.
It has three main bedrooms (two doubles and a room with two single beds). The lounge/sun terrace room on the top floor has another two separate guest bedrooms. (Please scroll down for pics)
A short walk away to the Canal du Midi.
‘La Souqueto’ is a short walk from the stunning Canal du Midi along a closed track under an avenue of mature Plane trees. Cycle or walk along the canal visiting restaurants. Head up to the foothills of the mountain Noire to visit the historic villages of Minerve, Aigne or La Caunette. Narbonne, our local City is 20 mins away, Beziers 30 mins and Carcassonne just under an hour! The beaches on The Mediterranean are 40 mins away or why not head off to Girona, Cadeques or Barcelona for the day!
Mirepeisset has an épicerie in the Placette just a 10 second walk from the front door, selling croissants/baguettes, cheese, ham and fruit. A local Intermarche supermarket is 5 minutes away by car.
La Souqueto is available from October to April each year. It’s operated as an award winning B&B for the spring/summer months.
Price: €1960 per month. A minimum of one months stay.
